Dear APA Eagle Mountain Families,

Knowing how the lunch program works makes the whole morning routine easier. Here’s everything you need to know about food at APA.

Our Lunch Program

APA serves cold sack lunches — pre-packaged meals with five components: a protein, grain, fruit, vegetable, and milk. This keeps our program efficient and affordable for every family!

Meal prices:

Reduced price: Free (if eligible — see below)
Lunch (K–5th): $2.65
Lunch (6th): $2.95
Breakfast: $1.50
Milk-only (order if bringing lunch from home): $0.35

How to Order

Meals are ordered online in advance — you don’t pay at the school. You may pre-order by the day, week, month, or year!

APA participates in the federal Free and Reduced Meals program. If your family may qualify, we encourage you to apply — it takes just a few minutes and is completely confidential.

Sending Lunch From Home

Prefer to pack your student’s lunch? That’s great — and many APA families do.

A few guidelines:

Pack a nutritious meal with protein, fruit or vegetables, and a drink
No drinks with red dye (they stain carpets), no soda, and no caffeinated or herbal stimulant drinks
You can add a school milk to a home lunch for $0.35 — order it through the same online system

First Day Reminder

As noted in your welcome email — please send your student with a packed lunch on the first day of school. The ordering system will be up and running before school begins!

Students eat lunch in their classrooms. If a student has an allergy, it will be communicated to the class and posted on the classroom door based on severity. We occasionally hold outdoor lunches as an incentive, especially for older students, with the same cleanliness and transition protocols as indoor lunch. All lunches — whether packed from home or ordered through our lunch program — are cold lunches; we don’t have microwaves on site.
