Dear APA Eagle Mountain Families,

Now that your enrollment confirmation has been received, we want to officially welcome you to the APA Eagle Mountain family! We are glad you are here!

Back to School Already? American Prep’s New Eagle Mountain Campus Opens August 19th!

It feels like just yesterday we were gathering interest for an APA campus in Eagle Mountain and now we are just a few weeks away from opening our school! We have held weekly interest meetings, in-person and online. We’ve enjoyed meeting you at the rodeo booth or outside Macey’s!

We are excited that on August 19th, APA Eagle Mountain students will walk through our doors for the very first day of school. What a journey this year has been to lay the groundwork for our new campus:

The Utah State Charter School Board approved APA Eagle Mountain earlier this year
APA’s Governing Board has approved the full school plan for the coming year
The City of Cedar Fort welcomed us to their local school building as a temporary home for APA Eagle Mountain while we build our permanent school in Firefly.
We hired an incredible staff!
APA signage was installed just this week!
Families will soon have opportunities to help with building preparation
Meet & Greet events are being scheduled now

This email is the first in a series we’ll be sending over the coming weeks to make sure your family is fully prepared before that first bell rings. Watch your email for information about uniforms, academics, lunch, how we communicate, and more.

First Day Basics

On the first day of school, bring your student, a backpack, and packed lunch from home. We plan to have a lunch program but it may take a week or so to get it rolling.

We supply every student all necessary supplies for school so parents do not need to purchase or send any school supplies and we prefer students don’t bring them.

Academic Assessments — Schedule Your Child’s Spot

Before school starts, we’d like to see every student for a brief academic assessment — this helps us place them at exactly the right level in reading and math from day one, so they start the school year with confidence instead of catching up.

Assessments are happening now through the end of July, and we’ll have plenty of staff on hand to make sure things move quickly and smoothly for you and your child.

Be a Founding Family — Help Us Get Ready for Opening Day

Here’s something special: opportunities like this only come around once — when a brand new campus opens.

As early as next week, we’ll need hands-on help getting our Eagle Mountain building ready — painting, cabinet installation, moving furniture and equipment, and more. If you’re handy with tools, good with a paintbrush, or just willing to lend some muscle, we have a spot for you.

Uniforms

Uniforms are part of who we are.

At APA, uniforms aren’t just a dress code — they’re part of a culture that removes daily distraction and puts focus where it belongs: on learning and character. You can review our full uniform guidelines at americanprep.org/topic/uniforms.

★ Eagle Mountain families note: At a new campus it is sometimes a challenge for parents to get the full uniform prior to the beginning of school. Therefore, we are implementing a different uniform requirement for the first term — Polo Friday dress may be worn any day up until October 9th (the end of Term 1).

Your Campus — And What’s Coming

This fall, APA Eagle Mountain opens in the former Cedar Valley Elementary building, serving families across Cedar Fort, Eagle Mountain, White Hills, and Firefly.

We’re also building a permanent, state-of-the-art campus in the Firefly community, opening Fall 2028. Families who enroll now at the Cedar Fort location will have priority placement at the new Firefly campus from day one.

Bus service for Eagle Mountain and White Hills families begins Fall 2026. Bus stop locations, registration details, and fee information are coming soon — watch your email for an update.

Meet Us — Weekly Info Meetings

Open to all families — enrolled or not. We hold weekly in-person and virtual info meetings open to any family curious about APA. If you know a neighbor or friend still on the fence, these are the best way to get their questions answered.

Tuesdays — in person at Firefly · 7:00–8:00 PM · 2988 W. Wander Lane, Eagle Mountain, UT 84013 · No RSVP needed. Directors on-site to answer every question.

Wednesdays — live Q&A on Zoom · 8:00 PM · Join here: bit.ly/4dIl62j · Great for neighbors who want to learn more before committing.
