Apply for the 2025-2026 School Year

Application Process
2025-2026

Thank you for your interest in American Preparatory Academy. To begin the enrollment process for the 2025–2026 school year, all new families must first attend a required application tour. During the tour, you’ll see our classrooms, meet our teachers, and learn more about what makes APA an exceptional educational choice.

Once your tour is complete, you may proceed with your application. Our enrollment team is available to assist you throughout the process.

To schedule a tour, simply click on your preferred campus below to get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for the current year?

If you are wanting to apply for the current 2025-2026 school year, please visit our Apply Now page. You will need to schedule an Application Tour to begin the application process.

How do I apply for next year?

Applications for the 2026–2027 school year open on Friday, November 28th. Visit our Enrollment Countdown page to stay informed and be ready when enrollment begins!

When will I find out if my child is offered a seat?

The first lottery will be run on January 20, 2026. Students are selected at random until all available spaces are filled. Any remaining applicants are placed on a waiting list and offered enrollment if space becomes available.

My child already attends APA. How do I enroll their sibling?

Please reach out to your campus registrar.

How do I transfer my child to a different APA campus?

Please reach out to your campus registrar.

What is age cutoff for Kindergarten enrollment?

All kindergarten students must turn five years old by September 1 to enroll in a public school in Utah.

How do you decide which students get transfer priority?

Student transfer lists are populated by grade based on the date we receive your application for transfer.  Priority is given to students applying for transfer who have siblings currently enrolled at a different campus.

Example: if your family has two students attending Draper 1 and one student attending Draper 2, your family will receive higher transfer priority than families with no students at Draper 2.

If my child is not accepted, will I be notified?

Because our lotteries are “rolling”, and students withdraw at various times all throughout the process, we do not notify parents that their students are not selected.  You are welcome to email your campus registrar to get a status update on your application.

After a lottery, are accepted students notified through a mass email?

Yes, we send an individual acceptance email immediately to each accepted family, rather than mass emails. This allows us to verify the student’s information as well as any siblings the family is enrolling. While this process may take a little longer, it helps increase the chances of having all of your children enrolled at the same time.
