Veterans Day
At American Preparatory Academy, Veterans Day is a cherished tradition. Each year, our students, staff, and families gather to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Through music, student speeches, and heartfelt performances, we celebrate their courage and sacrifice while helping students understand the true meaning of service and patriotism.
American Prep is proud to honor Utah’s veterans with seven live-streamed Veterans Day celebrations in November. We invite our entire community to join our live streams and help us honor those who have served and are actively serving.
Invite a Veteran
If you know a veteran that would like to attend one of our campus assemblies in person, we would love to honor them at American Prep. We are reserving special seating for veterans and guests. Click Here to RSVP and a member of our team will contact you to confirm your attendance and reserve a commemorative Veterans Day pin for your veteran.
How to Request a Veterans Day Card and Commemorative Pin
Each veteran who attends our assemblies receives a hand-written card and pin as a small token of our appreciation. We sometimes have extra cards and pins and love to help get them to veterans who would like one. If you know a veteran who would like to receive a special Veterans Day card and pin, please send an email to Maddi Tapp at mtapp@apamail.org. Maddi can help confirm availability and assist in arranging a pick-up.

Each year, Freedom Forum will host a series of in-person speaker events focused primarily on secondary age students. These sessions might include keynote talks in a large assembly setting with student Q&A portions, moderated panels, and follow-up classroom activities—all aligned with our academic and civic curriculum. This year we hope to expand the events to offer evening sessions for parents and community members to participate in.
With the support of parents, teachers, and community partners, Freedom Forum aims to become a signature district program—one that not only informs but energizes students to appreciate, participate in, and uphold the freedoms that define our nation.
Whether you’re a student curious about civic life, a parent seeking meaningful learning opportunities, or a community member interested in supporting educational innovation—Freedom Forum invites you to join us in championing the power of freedom.
